a midsummer's evening
the sun burns crimson
sinking slowly into the horizon
another day draws to an end
we stand watching the twilight
the fireflies take wing for their dance
you stare into the dying light
entranced as if by a spell
in your eyes i see your peace
your contentment shows through
something inside me stirs
the fireflies dance in the simple ring
i realize for the first time
perhaps the caring i feel for you
the warmth i feel from your presence
perhaps that is more than friendship
perhaps it runs deeper than that
the fireflies twirl and weave faster
i see you as a new person
i notice the immaculate details
the light in your eyes
the way your body moves
things that make you who you are
the fireflies come to a frenzy
the sun has gone down now
the crickets play their symphony
i realize its time to go back
the magic of the moment has ended
a midsummer's night has come
the fireflies scatter into the world

We all have once experienced such a feeling beyond companionship, but i have found non that could describe it... until now

Masks are guises for mystery and surprises, but the eyes were made in these disguises, for you to see the faces of every person you deceive, and to know them, but to know they'll never know you however naive.
